Boar (entry test for Blankhans)

This was my entry test for Blankhans's project Coreborn. I was limited in time, so I had to stop after 13h.
Here are some comments about the workflow and how I like to work generally speaking:
- I always try to use a clean 1 subdiv that can also serves as a base for retopo, so I modeled a low poly base in Blender and adjusted the silhouette afterwards.
- As long as I am still working on the silhouette, I previsualize the model with dynamic subdivs on.
- I avoid sculpting things that are not part of the underlying element (for instance, I do not sculpt straps on the body, but keep them as their own subtools).
- I also use dynamic subdiv with thickness for elements like straps, the leather plates or the basket. For the straps, I simply take a cylinder and keep only one loop before deforming it.
- The basket was modelled in Blender; I considered using a repetitive texture such as surface noise Weave, but I thought modeling the weave would give it a stronger personality and in the end would be faster and cleaner. I could still project the details on a cylinder to compensate for the holes. The rope part is a twisted ring, with some of the loops inflated/deflated. I deformed the basket to give an impression of tension and weight.
- For the leather, I used a light surface noise. I inflated the edges except for one fine loop on subdiv; I used Damstandard for the scratches, and a bit of Crumple brush. Note: I tweaked the strap a little bit after the screenshots because it was too obvious I duplicated them.
- For the mushrooms, I mostly reused the big one, tweaking the subdiv 1 to get different shapes. I used a bit of trimdynamic to give it a bit of texture. I also used Trimdynamic on the metal rings and horns.
- For the fur, I used the fur available in the Chisel organic brush. I wanted to avoid that it looks too uniform, so I smoothed it out in some areas on purpose.
